Born in Jamaica, writer-graphic designer Therese Edwards (née Morris) spent her earliest childhood years living in Kingston & St. Andrew before moving to Greater Portmore in neighbouring St. Catherine.
Therese is married to fellow writer, Michael A. D. Edwards, whom she met on assignment, and has two step-children, Zachary & Gabriel.
She is presently also the Founder/Owner of Flavour du Jour (FdJ), Caribbean Culinary Guide - the first critically—minded stand-alone food guide of its kind on the island. Through her company, Therese has become one of Jamaica’s pre-eminent food critics. www.flavourdujour.info
While still a student at UWI Mona, she was a Columnist for monthly Jamaican-British Newspaper, The Big Eye. She served on a voluntary basis in the island’s 2007 General Elections, and also assisted backstage at Caribbean Fashion Week, as well as serving as an English as a Second Language Tutor (ESL) for the Latin America Caribbean Centre Department of the UWI/PDVSA Programme.
Since 2010, she has written for the likes of Skyy Vodka, SociaLingua, and Jamaicans.com among others.
